Help out
Want to help us fight the battle against loneliness? We’d love to have you. We’re always looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to put a smile on the face of older people.
Do your bit for your neighbourhood – with your help, we can make an even bigger impact. Our goal is to make as many older people happy as possible and you can help us do that! There are plenty of different activities to support, and our structured calendar of events makes it easy to fit in with your routine.

Get in contactCooking Days
Grandma’s Soup Cooking Days are guaranteed to be fun. Younger and older generations making delicious soup together is a pretty unique format. To prevent food waste, we use fresh veggies that would otherwise be thrown away. Our Cooking Days are held at various locations, each lasting about 2-3 hours. An afternoon full of board games, colourful stories, hilarious jokes and of course – delicious soup!
Soup at Home Days
Via our Soup at Home days, we’re able to reach older people who need company the most. Through local GPs, physios, corner shops and many other partners, we connect with a large network of vulnerable people through weekly visits and care packages full of our delicious soup, a motivational card and a special surprise. Take a moment to enjoy a cuppa with your neighbour or take a stroll in the park. It’s only a couple of hours out of your day, but your smile, chit chat or brief moment of contact can make a world of difference.
Events
When we’re feeling celebratory, we also organise other innovative events locally and nationally a few times a year. From the Grandma’s gala to the Grandma’s pop-up speed dating restaurant – check out our events page for our past events and PR promotions.
Everyone is welcome at Grandma’s Soup and participation is completely free for both volunteers and guests. You are welcome to join regularly, or on an ad hoc basis.
