Your role

Granny’s Soup finances cooking days/surprise care packages for older people, by selling soups on a large scale. We make soups and stews based on grandma’s recipes, in a professional production kitchen. Granny’s Soup supplies supermarkets, companies, restaurants and hospitals. We’re already on the shelves of Albert Heijn, AH to Go, Spar, Picnic and Jan Linders Supermarkets. Our dream is to be able to bring young and old together throughout the world – so we’ll need to sell a whole lot more soups and stews. As a Sales Intern, you’ll help drive these new business opportunities. Together with the full-time team you will continue to look for new customers, partners and close the very best deals.

What are we looking for?

You’ll be full of positive energy, happy to work independently and socially capable by nature. You get enthusiastic about selling and making deals, while authentically telling the social and sustainable story of Granny’s Soup. You stick to your commitments and use your creativity to ensure that new clients become long-term clients. It’s also super handy if you have a driver’s licence and are willing to do a minimum of 5 months internship (time may vary depending on consultation).

What are you going to do?

We’d like to give you the responsibility of recruiting new partners in the hospitality industry and business. These can be local as well as national caterers, restaurants, hotels and businesses. You will also be the lead contact with the supermarket stores of Albert Heijn and de Spar and keep in close contact with a number of other existing large customers (Anne & Max, Deloitte, VandeBron, etc.). You’ll proactively think about the sales strategy of Granny’s Soup together with the founder, who takes final responsibility for sales. To optimise our interface with older people and the social concept, you will attend a cooking day or a Soup-to-Home day once a month

Your environment

You’ll be given the freedom to develop at lightning speed, as you learn to execute your own sales strategy. You’ll get a look behind the scenes of one of the fastest growing social startups, learn about the emerging sustainable food industry and work with large companies that want to buy or help grow Granny’s Soup. The founder will provide all necessary guidance and accompany you to sales meetings, especially at the beginning.
